June 2015 Drugstore Haul Review

My first ever “haul” post!

(I’m nervous. Please be kind and patient while I figure out what i’m doing.)

Since I’ve been on summer vacay, I’ve been spending money like

Bad for my wallet, great for reviews on products!

 L’oreal Lash Boosting Serum.

Love this stuff!

First of all, I’m a sucker for anything with the word “serum”, so it already has that going for it.

I actually don’t really wear eye makeup anymore

because the skin around my eyes has gotten super sensitive

(which is the worst, but that’s my cross to bear 😜)

So I’m always nervous to try any new eye product but

this has caused no weird reaction! I put it on in the morning and night.

Honestly, it looks like a clear mascara and helps define my eyelashes.

You can put it on under mascara as well.

I haven’t noticed any increased lash fullness yet so that’s why it’s not a perfect score

but I did stock up on a second one since I like it so much.

Here is the description from the L’oreal website:

Double Extend® Lash Boosting Serum, for visibly fuller, thicker natural lashes with less lash fall-out when removing makeup. The breakthrough formula contains Centella Asiatica Extract and Arginine to reinforce, condition, and protect each lash. Apply daily under your mascara and at night to bare lashes to transform your natural lashes, and see more lashes in just 4 weeks!* *Consumers found lashes appear multiplied with daily application of mascara and twice daily application of serum: underneath mascara and on bare lashes overnight. For boosted results, use the serum together with Double Extend®Lash Boosting Mascara.

Maybelline Master Glaze

in Warm Nude

I love the nude color- gives a nice glow for the summer.

It deposits the perfect amount of shimmer.

I wish the stick was a bit wider for application but it’s super easy to blend.

I find this is especially great to wear when I’m wearing very little makeup–

gives the cheeks some color but doesn’t look too obvious.

Description from Maybelline:

Face Studio Master Glaze Glisten Blush Stick makes cheeks go dewy and gently glazed with sheer blush color. Liquid shimmer pearls + shea butter glide provide blendable blush color and smooth, even application.

L’oreal Brow Stylist Plumper

Even though I didn’t rate this super high, I would still recommend this product.

The medium color matches my brow color well and it does make brow hair appear longer and more lush.

It just doesn’t have enough *oomph* to be the only brow product I use,

except on super light makeup days.

I love to layer it on top of my regular brow gel/powder routine.

L’oreal description:

Fill brows in an instant and hold hair in place with this easy-to-apply brow gel mascara. Formulated with a subtle tint, the gel adheres to even the finest hairs, leaving them fuller and more defined with a single application.

Blistex Lip Vibrance

This stuff is the best! It was super inexpensive too.

I think I paid 1.98 for it.

Great price, sheer color, and SPF 15.

Smells nice and comes with the cutest little mirror on the end.

(Which you don’t even need by the way since it is foolproof to apply).

From the Blistex website:

Soft, Smooth Lips: A rich moisturizing and protective formula–with shea butter, grapeseed oil and vitamin E–conditions lips and provides a smooth texture.

Subtle Color and Shimmer That Lasts: Lip Vibrance improves the look of dull, lackluster lips with a touch of color and sheer gloss that lasts longer than you would expect. Your lips’ complexion will have an even tone that radiates health. Plus, the built-in mirror allows you to make sure your lips look beautiful anytime!

Lip Vibrance, lasting color and total care.

SPF 15 Sun Protection

Maybelline DreamLumi Concealer

Meh. I just can’t really get that excited about this product. It’s fine.

I got a very light color since I was hoping to use this more as a highlighter.

I wish it was more illuminating but maybe it’s great for covering blemishes-

I haven’t used it for that yet.

I had to wind it up for like 10 minutes before it started working.

I like more sheer coverage and this seemed a bit chalky.

I’ll give it a second chance though.

I do love that it’s suitable for sensitive skin and noncomedogenic.

Here’s Maybelline’s description:

Gel-based formula diffuses light.
Illuminates as it conceals
In 6 Shades

Why You’ll Love It

A brighter idea in concealers:
• Gel-based formula diffuses light to provide on-the-spot perfection in just one touch
• Illuminates as it conceals
• Dermatologist, Allergy Tested
• Non-comedogenic
• Suitable for sensitive skin and for all skin types

Here I am rocking all products at once!

Everything looks really natural, which I love.
